  1. If i would wish to leave wordpress after having an upgraded site for a year, is there a period of notice I should be aware of?
  2. If i upgrade to have a personal domain, is it I who own the domain? Can I switch to another company and still keep my domain name?
  3. About the “custom design”-upgrade
  A. It says that I’ll be able to customize the stylesheets of any available theme. Afterwards it says that I may NOT do any direct theme editing? I am not sure what to make of it, what can I and what can I not do?
  B. It does also say that I can’t upload personal themes or custom templates. Why not? (Mostly out of curiosity)

  Would be grateful for clarification!

  Howdy,

  (1) There’s no period of notice necessary — you’re welcome to leave whenever you like, though we hope you won’t. :-)

  (2) Absolutely — it’s your domain, and you’re welcome to point it to a different host, or transfer it to a different registrar.

  (3A) The Custom Design upgrade allows you to customize the appearance of any theme using CSS. It also includes the use of custom fonts. The upgrade doesn’t enable you to directly edit theme templates, however.

  You’re always welcome to give it a try, and see if it’s sufficient for your needs.

  (3B) It’s not possible to modify or upload themes for security and performance reasons. But you can make significant chances to the appearance of any theme by using the Custom Design upgrade.
