sharing to FB – incorrect photos coming through

    on out blog we share posts automatically with FB – the last 3 posts that have gone to fb have used the wrong photo’s (ie have not used the photo that was in the post but another from a previous post that has now been used 3 times on fb) i have reconnected the fb link but dont know if this will help – can you please?

    Hi there,

    You can check to see which image (and other information) WordPress.com sends to Facebook with your posts in the Facebook debugger here:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

    For example, here’s the information for your latest post:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fnorthernregards.com%2F2014%2F09%2F02%2Ffotoblox-2%2F

    Facebook should use one of the images we send it from your post. However, sometimes Facebook chooses a completely different image instead. That’s up to Facebook and we can’t control it as long as the correct images are being shown in the Facebook debugger.

    If that’s happening to you, I’d recommend manually sharing the posts (by pasting a link to the post in a Facebook status update). That should give you the option to choose what image is shared along with the post.
