Shortcode displaying as text?

    For starters, I’m using the “Livro” theme.

    Basically, I’m trying to embed a Bandcamp player onto my homepage via shortcode. I’ve followed everything per the instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/audio/bandcamp/
    I’ve created the shortcode block on the page with the necessary content that it needs to function.

    However, when I go to view my site, instead of the player displaying as it should – it instead shows the text written in the shortcode block like so:

    What’s the problem? Does my theme not support shortcode? And if so, is there a way to get it to support shortcode? Thanks in advance!

    Perhaps it is because I’m using the free plan?
