Should I map or transfer my domains?

  I have already bought two domains, a ‘.com’ and a ‘.co.uk’ . As I have never developed a website before I want to have the basic account first and develop my website. In March, I will upgrade my account to business and add my domains then and pay the necessary. However I do not want to pay anything until March and this is why I am choosing the basics wordpress option. Is possible to upgrade my account in a couple of months, as well as just create my website now and then pay when is active? Because when I say what the name of my domain is going to be, and when I say that I own it, wordpress says that I have to pay a certain amount of money. Another question I have is, should I transfer or map my domain?

  Hi there, You can of course start with a free site and upgrade later. However, if you are intending on switching to the Business plan, IMO it would be beneficial to upgrade from the start so that you have access to all the features available under the Business plan, including access to direct support, plugins and any Premium or custom 3rd party theme you would like to use. https://en.support.wordpress.com/business-plan/

  There is a 30-day refund period for any upgrade plan so you can try it out all the features. The only exception to that refund period is if you register a new custom domain name. That needs to be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase to be eligible for a refund. https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

  As far as transferring or mapping, WordPressdotcom doesn’t currently accept incoming .co.uk domains, so you would have to map that, but you would be able to transfer the .com domain More about this topic https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
