should menu work before launch?

    I’m trying to set up my menus for my new blog before going live. When I test a menu item, I’m getting ‘page not found.’ Is this because the site is still displayed as ‘coming soon’ or did I mess up somewhere? Also the pages are set to private just until I’m ready to launch. Will that cause the menu not to work?

    What is the site?

    The only site I see in your account is a self-hosted site connected here via Jetpack. That site’s menu is working fine for me.

    If you’re speaking of another site and it’s hidden behind a coming soon plugin, or a coming soon landing page from your host, that might do this, yes, if that plugin/landing page also messes with the page permalinks on the site. But in that case the people who make that plugin or your hosting provider would be the best people to ask for help.
