Showing the world my correct social links

    I’ve edited my footer using appearance>editor>patterns>footer – then clicking the footer, clicking each social and updating the URL for FB and IG, deleting the Twitter icon. It shows up fine in the template and it has saved, as whenever I return to it, it’s how I’ve set it. Here’s the problem: the footer on my live page does not have the social links as I’ve customised them. All three icons are there and the URL attached is wordpress, and that’s where visitors are taken when they click them. Does anyone know how I fix this? I’ve tried a new test page after updating the template, still no joy. Thanks
