  There is no ‘Sidebar’ option in my widgets. Only the ‘Footer’ option is available. Someone said it was a page setting issue and I should change the preset to default, but there is no preset option in the page settings for me. What’s the issue? Why isn’t the Sidebar widget an option? Please help.

  Hi there,

  The theme you are using does not appear to offer a sidebar option. https://wordpress.com/theme/sigler

  Relevant text from the theme info page:

  Sigler is a minimalist theme, designed for single-page websites. Its single post and page layouts have no header, navigation menus, or widgets, so the page you design in the WordPress editor is just the same page you’ll see on the front end.

  With this in mind, you have a few options:

  Looks like you have just one page for now. You could add a columns block to that page, move your current content to one column, and set the other one up with blocks so that it appears to be a sidebar. You could also group all the “sidebar blocks” and save them as a Reusable Block so you can easily add it to new pages without having to set it up every time.

  You can also switch to a theme that has a sidebar in it already. We don’t have a way to show just those themes but if you visit our themes page, you can visually see which ones have a sidebar in the demo: shttps://wordpress.com/themes/
