Sidebar menu disappeared – need to recapture it & embedded links don't work

    I am quite desperate. I saved the menu 1 from the Appearance tab in Dashboard, but the sidebar menu is gone! Also, I added a link to three articles and it goes to a strange page configuration on my site instead of to the site. Am lost–don’t know what to do.
