sidebar not displaying on all pages

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a new wordpress.com blog, I’ve just published my first post. However, I cannot get the sidebar to show on all the pages.

My theme is twenty eleven and I do not have the static homepage set (and I don’t want to). I have certain selected pages set in a menu, which is showing along the top. However, the sidebar only shows when a user is at ‘Home’, all other pages in the top menu show just one column, for some reason.

    Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

By default, the Twenty Eleven theme only shows the sidebar on your blog. Static pages using the default template won’t show the sidebar.

However, you can use the theme’s sidebar template on your pages if you want the sidebar to show up there. To do that, you can open the page in the page editor (just click the page title under Pages > All Pages in your dashboard). Then, in the Page Attributes module, select “Sidebar Template” from the Template dropdown menu. Save your changes, and you should see your sidebar appear on that page.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
