Sidebar widgets

We seem to have lost most of the widgets from our sidebar and instead have Archive and Pages listing. Has something changed recently or have we inadvertently corrupted our site?

As this is a long-retired theme, we do not have a way to restore widgets due to some major improvements to the widgets system that are no longer supported by older themes.
We recommend switching to a newer theme https://wordpress.com/themes to avoid any interruptions like this in the future, and it would be a great time to re-consider your widgets too of course.
