Sign-up for new users

  Hi there,

  I would like to have a sign-up or join page on my blog so people can fill out a few questions and become contributors and authors on the site without me having to manually invite new users (as per https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/). Is this possible?

  Also, I would like to then display the list of the authors and contributors who have signed-up (with their explicit consent obtained at the time of signing up) on the ‘members’ page. Is this possible?

  If this isn’t possible using wordpress.com ‘out-of-the-box’, do you know of any plugins that might be able to do this?

  Hi Aaron! WordPress.com does not support open registration for sites. However, this is a feature of out-of-the-box WordPress if you go self hosted instead. There’s a little bit of info about this here under “Membership”:
