Site address after upgrade

  i am considering upgrading my WordPress site (free to premium) and i have a technical question.
  Once the upgrade is activated, are there going to be any changes in the site address? I want to be sure, that the links that were saved and share before and pointing to my current site, will still be valid after the upgrade.

  Hi there, does this answer your question:

  Adding a domain will change the URL (the links) to all your posts and pages. We will automatically redirect any visitors, but note that third-party services such as Facebook rely on the URL to measure activity. This may cause existing share counts to be reset to 0. Future posts will not be affected.

  Domains

  Also, you are not required to purchase or map a custom domain when you upgrade. That would only be required if you are interested in participating in the WordAds program.
