site dissapeared

Hi! I started a blog about a year and a half ago, and admittedly, let it fade away into the background so I was not keeping tabs on email I was receiving about backup plans, my hosting website, etc. Now when I log into my wordpres account it say that my blog does not exist anymore. The domain name comes up as an error, and it doesn’t show up on my WordPress site on my computer. However, if I am logged into my app I can see all of my previously written blog posts. I just can not actually access the link to the website. Did worspress delete my blog? How can I get it back? Thank you.

    Site: https://megmonroe.com.
    Correct account: Unknown

    Hi there!

The address you shared, megmonroe.com, was never hosted by us at WordPress.com. The domain seems to be pointing to Bluehost at the moment. And based on our records, it wasn’t hosted by us at any point in the past.

It might help to keep in mind that there are two versions of WordPress. WordPress.com sites are those hosted by us. Then there are WordPress.org sites that are hosted by other companies like Bluehost.

There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

You have a number of WordPress.com sites under this account, but the domain megmonroe.com was hosted elsewhere. What this means is you’ll need to reach out to your hosting service provider (where the site was hosted) to see if they still have the site on their servers.

It might be Bluehost since the domain is still pointing to their servers so my suggestion is to reach out to Bluehost support first to see if they can tell you more about the site that was hosted by them at this domain: megmonroe.com.

    Regards
