Site is asking people to login – this isn't right

  For some reason, my site is asking people to login into wordpress. This is not right. They should be able to explore the site.

  I don’t have it set to “private” so I’m not sure what’s causing this. Please help. thanks!

  I’m sorry, but that’s not the WordPress site.

  It’s this one: https://wordpress.com/post/impact-writers.com/3

  The home page loads fine, but when someone clicks this important page, it asks for a login.

  please help.

  The link you give is to edit a post or page, the correct link to your site is https://impact-writers.com/. The link to your most recent post is https://impact-writers.com/2021/02/11/whats-on-my-desk/

  Thanks. This is confusing. Why is the link different when I edit it?

  It shows https://wordpress.com/post/impact-writers.com/3 during editing.

  If this is the real address – https://impact-writers.com/2021/02/11/whats-on-my-desk/ — how do I make it a permalink without the date?

  Say I want to change it to impact-writers.com/join

  I can’t find where to do that in the menu.

  that option to change the permalink and revoke the date is only available on plans business and higher. and if you are on one of these you can get priority support from WordPress.com by reaching out via https://wordpress.com/help/contact

  I’m not sure which plan I have, but I’m paying $48 a month. I don’t see a permalink option.

  Also, it keeps shifting me between two different kinds of editing options. Classic, which is what I prefer. and then the block editing, which is confusing to me.

  Is there someway I can default it ALL to classic editing and not even see the other option?

  It’s cumbersome right now because I have to manually force it to use Classic editing every time I edit a post or page.
