Site load speed is good – but SEARCH is slow…and we think ‘maybe’ we know why?

We are filmmakers. WordPress, Divi and Yoast etc have been pretty great to work with., and GTmetrix gives us a good rating on our new site. People hire us because of what we make, not what we Say about what we make, so we had to be smart about our SEO.
We host about 90 short films, music videos, commercials etc on Vimeo Pro and connect them to WordPress. It all works great. We do have all the copy we can have (titles, snippets, excerpts etc etc) in WP but SEARCH is almost usably slow. even though all the titles, Excepts, Snippets etc are in the WordPress DB as are the TINY looping videos and poster frames in the MEDIA section.
It ‘seems’ it has to parse all 90 films Before it returns the Search result – we ‘think’ because it has to look at all 90 films, grab the poster frame and the embedded video link – Before it returns any search result. If you care to look we are here. https://dreamlikepictures.com
Thanks for any direction/insights/comments!

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Howdy –
The site that is linked in the post does not use the managed hosting environment that we support here, which is WordPress.com.
Instead, your site is set up on the open source WordPress.org software – the other version of WordPress.
Help for that version can come from your theme author, your hosting provider or the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
