Site not found on Google

    Hi everyone.

    It’s been over a week since I verified my site via Google console, but people cannot find it when either searching the URL or site name in Google or Bing. I’ve requested page indexing/crawling with Google and still nothing.

    Google support have guided this is a WordPress issue due to the creation of site being with WP, any guidance would be greatly appreciated as this is greatly affecting my start-up.

    I understand how important it is for your website to be discoverable through search engines, so let’s work together to troubleshoot and hopefully get this resolved.

    First and foremost, please confirm that your site was successfully verified with Google Search Console. Sometimes, the verification might not go through properly. Please double-check in your Google Search Console dashboard to ensure that your site is verified.

    Once verified, it’s a good practice to submit a sitemap to search engines. This provides them a map of all the pages on your site. If you haven’t done this yet, you can do it by following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/#upload-your-word-press-com-sitemap-to-google-search-console

    Please note that even after verification and indexing requests, it can sometimes take several weeks for a website to start appearing in search results. Search engines have billions of web pages to crawl and index, and the process is not always immediate.
