site not functioning

  Our golf tournament was cancelled last year so the website hasn’t been used for 2 years. It doesn’t open up anymore and I can’t access anything in wordpress. This is the message i’m getting ‘There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’. However I can’t find anything in my inbox. Please let me know the steps I need to take to re-activate the website.
