Site partially created but not linked to email

    I started to create a site, URL pearlsandpavement.wordpress.com . It was shown as an available domain. When I finished creating it, it asked me to log in. I chose to register with my email address of (email visible only to moderators and staff) , which did not have a wordpress account associated with it.

    It says it finished successfully but ‘sent an email to your address’ to confirm the (email visible only to moderators and staff) registration. I have not received the confirmation email yet (I checked my spam folders), but the URL above shows a newly created site. However, I can’t log into the site because (I think) it’s associated with the (email visible only to moderators and staff) username, which hasn’t been confirmed, because I haven’t received the email.

    Help?! Is there any way to re-send the confirmation email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) or alternatively, link up the pearlsandpavement.wordpress.com site to my existing user (email visible only to moderators and staff)?
