Site Redirect: what shall I do with old blog
-
I’m moving shortly my wordpress.com blog to a self hosted site and of course, I’ll use SiteRedirect by WP.
Question is: when it’s all done with Site Redirect, what should I do with the old wordpress.com blog: should I delete it, make it private, or do nothing? If I do nothing, shall there be two identical blogs in the web? Or simply redirection makes the old one “dissapear” from google and the internet? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As long as you keep the Site Redirect active, the old site address will eventually be removed from search engine indexes.
It’s up to you whether you want to make the site private, but you won’t be able to fully delete it as long as there’s an upgrade (Site Redirect) attached to it.
Just let me know if you have further questions.
