Site redirecting

  I have a questions about site redirecting. I have moved my site to a self hosted account and would like to redirect my current site (colorncables.com) hosted at wordpress to my new site. What I am not sure about is what do I enter for the redirect URL. Since colorncables.com is my blog, do I enter in the main URL for my new site as http://www.brandonknittingdesigns.com or do I enter the direct URL to my new blog as http://www.brandonknittingdesigns.com/blog/?

  Second questions…not all images would import to my self hosted site. So, i left current images on colorncables.com and point to them like so (http://vbran.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/imagename.jpg) and all new images will be uploaded to my self hosted blog. If we do the site redirect will the vbran.files..etc. urls to my images break?

  Hi. If I was you, I’d check with the domain name registrar of the old domain name (colorncables.com) to see if there is another way to redirect traffic to your new blog… Because otherwise, you may have to pay BOTH offsite redirect AND domain mapping at WordPress.com. That’s just my two cents.
