Site still up but somehow account was deleted. How can I reclaim site?

    Don’t understand what is going on. The account I had in WordPress.com for a blog seems to have been deleted. I tried recovering with a valid transaction id I have and it says that the all I need to do is select the option ‘forgot password’. Well I did, but it says I cannot do it because the account has been deleted.

    However the site is still up, so how can I regain control of the site?

    I have several emails that can prove beyond any reasonable doubt that I was the creator of the site.
