  Hello! I just created a new website and upon changing the domain name I became unable to customize it. I continue to get a message saying site took too long to respond.

  Since what you described wouldn’t be possible on WordPress.com, I guess you’re talking about a WordPress site hosted elsewhere, we are not able to help with those.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
