Site URL isn’t working and I can’t access the back-end
-
Hello! In the settings of my website, I changed the URL to forward to Jennapitman.com (a site that is not set up yet) and now I can’t access my site or the back end of my site. Any idea how I can edit the backend of my site without actually being on it? Or does WordPress have backups of my site so they can reset it to a previous version?

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host Jennapitman.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.
To clarify, we use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress and provides integrated caching, server-level performance improvements, security, automatic updates to core software, robust backups, and in-house support from our WordPress.com Happiness Engineers. To offer this we use a customized version of WordPress (different from what you use at GoDaddy, for example) which is optimized for our infrastructure and offers the best performance possible.
Because we use a custom version of WordPress on our service, we don’t have access to your site or familiarity with what is causing your access issue. The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in that forum are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help. Thanks!
