Sites listed under "My Sites" are not mine
-
I am getting jetpack notifications for sites that are not mine, and noticed that under “My Sites” they are listed (but are not mine). I tried using the disconnect jetpack but it does not work and the sites still show. One such example is behindthebrick.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, but they were never my sites. Not sure how they are connected to my WordPress account.

Were you connected to the sites in any way?
The reason I ask is that I can disconnect them for you, but if they are active sites and someone reconnects using your login info, then they will reappear.
-
Only one of the sites is mine, and I was never associated with others. How would this happen? Can you email me directly so I can let you know which sites should be removed?
Thanks for the help.

You can list the sites here. Or perhaps it would be easier to tell me which should NOT be removed.
I have a feeling that if we remove them, and then if you change your password, that should stop them from being reconnected. I have no idea how you would have gotten associated with them, but that should stop it.

Hello I have the same problem; the Leakynews site is somehow on My Sites but I have nothing whatsoever to do with it. I may have visited the site but that’s it. Also, I’m a writer for another site that I don’t own, (I log into it using my wp login and post stories) should that be showing up in my sites?

Josh, sorry for so long getting back to you. Here is the list of sites to remove from my account please.
behindthebrick.com
juststopscreaming.com
according2mandy.com
bugchild.com
momspark.net
http://www.thetshirtlady.comThank you.

Okay, I have removed those. Please take a look and make sure I got them all.
Also, if you think your account is being used for jetpack sites without your permission, I would encourage you to change your password. Most likely it is a case of user confusion somewhere, but changing your password should stop it no matter what.
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Thanks for taking care. Any idea how this happened? I’m never been associated with any of those blogs.

I wish I had something concrete to tell you. But the most likely reason is that someone else had (and was using) your WordPress.com account information for some reason.
