Site's robots still blocking description of website
-
I have had my website ibknature.com up for several months now, but a description of it to search engines is still not available or is being blocked. I know this can take several weeks, but what I doing wrong or incomplete that is causing it to take several months?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please be aware that we cannot access metadata on wordpress.COM hosted blogs. What’s important are the keywords in the site title and the tagline:

Thanks! I am not so worried about capturing meta data for SEO, but just in a basic google search of the actual website name. The google response is “A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt – learn more”. I was hoping to just see the tag line descriptor displayed.

Hi Rich,
I checked your site, and I see that you changed it from a private site to a public site about 4 weeks ago. It can take a while (sometimes 4-6 weeks or more) for Google to update its search results after a change like that — before your site was public, Google couldn’t get a description of your site, so it’ll need to update its search results now that the site is public. You can read about how WordPress.com works with Search Engines to learn more about that.
I’d recommend waiting a bit longer to see that change in Google’s search results. If you’d like to speed up the process, some people find that setting up Google Search Console encourages Google to update their search results faster.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Yes, I had it private while I developed the site, then made it public a month or so ago. I will give it more time and check out the references you offered. Thanks and I’m happy for now.
