Hi there, can you give me a little more information about this issue? In particular, it would help to know more about why you need to turn off smart quotes and a link to a blog post or page where this is a problem for you. Thanks!

It’s basically on the entire site. The reason I need to turn them off is that they screw up the RSS feed for my podcast in iTunes. The episode information renders with the smart quotes substituted with gibberish.

    Thanks for your prompt help!

    Hi there,

The characters you see in your RSS feed are HTML code, which browsers display as the characters you see on the screen. In particular, characters like apostrophes or quotation marks can cause problems if they are not replaced with the corresponding HTML code in your feed. If programs like iTunes are unable to display those characters correctly, you may want to adjust the titles and information you include in your podcast.
