SMS problems, once again.

  This is the second times I got this problem, same nick, same phone number (my phone number have never been redacted), and I can’t receive any SMS from wordpress to login with 2-step. I save my code in my laptop but I can’t bring my lap everywhere right? So whenever I want to login by my mobile, just like – waiting for SMS for 1 hour and of course, no SMS :)
  And I can’t turn off 2-step :) damn it!
  Last time I just try to delete my phone number from the profile and add it again, and click to resend the code for 3 times then I can see the SMS. Not now =))))
  I don’t have any hope left with this problem so PLEASE, somehow, I need to turn off 2-step!!!

  Hi there,

  What site/account are you trying to access? If you’re speaking of the sapphirebluewings account, our logs show you used a backup code to log into this account about an hour ago.

  If you’re not receiving a code when you try to update your 2FA settings, please also use one of those backup codes for that, and once you’re on the settings page, please generate and print out new backup codes, as you only have 4 valid backup codes left.

  We’re sending the SMS codes. If you’re not receiving them, the problem is on your mobile provider’s end. In that case I’d recommend using a 2FA app like Google Authenticator or Authy instead, which can give you codes even if you don’t have any signal. An app like Authy also allows you to backup your codes so you can access them from a different device should you lose the phone on which you have it installed.

  I also want to strongly urge you to set a backup phone that different from your main phone number. At the moment you have a backup phone set, but it’s with the same number than the phone you’re using for 2FA codes, so it’s not actually a backup. If you set a different phone number as the backup option, it means there’s another way to potentially get the codes when you need them.
