Social Icons Block Not Appearing on Website
-
Heyo,
Been struggling to input Social Icons Block to my website header. All links are input correctly. SI Block shows up fine on site-preview from when you enter from the site overview/navigation screen, but disappears in the public site preview you can access from the site-builder. In fact, it doesn’t disappear on preview, it actually appears for a frame and then immediately hides itself. Even when using generic link icon it just doesn’t display on the site, regardless if it’s in the header or not.
No clue why it does this. I haven’t used WordPress before so it’s likely I’ve made a mistake somewhere. I just don’t know what that mistake might have been when the task is to literally input one hyperlink lol. WordPress rep has told me that Social Icons Block in Banner is available for free users so I doubt it’s a premium feature (it would say if it was anyway).
When looking at HTML part there are red highlighted zones, but again I don’t know how an error could even generate for a feature that’s literally typing a link. Also no I haven’t touched the HTML portion. I’ve literally just put working links in the box, like the guide suggests. No idea how this could mess up. I’d be willing to bet it’s just a mistake on my part. Every other link I’ve input in different blocks has worked. But this Social Icon Block NEVER appears no matter where it is placed and regardless of what links it contains.
I took these screenshots, one of how the block in the banner looks in edit mode, one where the block is missing from the preview, and the HTML error.
