Social Media in WordPress.com blog
-
So I want to add custom designed social media icons to my wordpress.com blog (plumpearls.com). I also want to add the ability for people to pin photos that I post to Pinterest. The only way I know of doing this is by editing code and plugins. Since I can only edit CSS I am not sure how to go about doing this.
Is there any way to do this via widgets? (I’m guessing not since I don’t want to add a new window at the footer of my page)
I chose wordpress.com over wordpress.org for ease with my client. They wanted something they could just pay a fee and it all work and they can maintain easily. This seamed like the best option but now I’m finding it isn’t great for designing… Very limited, unless I am missing something.
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can add your own sharing buttons below posts by following these instructions. This explains how to add new sharing services, but you should also be able to use the same guidelines to create custom buttons for existing sharing services, like Twitter and Facebook. Pinterest is one of the existing sharing services, so by activating that service on your sharing options, folks can pin images from your posts.
I know it can be an adjustment getting used to WordPress.com if you come from the .org world, but you may be surprised by how many things are quite doable. :-) Just let me know if you need help with anything else!
