Some issues using the wordpress site
-
Hello, I’ve recently run into some errors while using the site that i need to be resolved.
1. I use the duplicate feature to reduce time creating new listings. I found I could not remove the product image, nor could I upload pictures to the listing. The media gallery also was not showing our pictures we had added previously.
2. I noticed that an update was available for wordpress 4.0 was available and I thought it could solve an issue in the update, but it cautioned me to backup the entire store/site before.
3. So I went to use WPvivid to backup the site but it will not allow me to backup – also our previous scheduled backup on Feb 8th failed. An error message pops up: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0. It takes several clicks to close. And when i click create back up it shows the same.
4. At the top of most or all pages it shows these error messages:
– Warning: Use of undefined constant ‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’ – assumed '‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/pangeacjw/public_html/wp-config.php on line 70
– Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /home/pangeacjw/public_html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/framework/functions-wordpress.class.php on line 515
I am not a coder or a programmer so I am not comfortable editing plugins or coding in this back end sort of way unless I am absolutely sure at the very least that damage will not be done to my site / store. Is there any way I could receive support in navigating these issues and can you reccomend my next course of action? -
The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.
This page talks about this differences in more detail:
Help with that site comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
