Some Youtube Embeds Display on iPad, some Don't. Guesses as to why?

My latest post (Smurf and Re-Smurf http://wp.me/p14Ded-aT) uses a lot of Youtube media links. It all works great on the desktop but, for some reason, when reading it on an iPad only the first Youtube link results in a live media embed. All the rest are just empty space between blocks of text. I thought at first it was merely a Flash issue with the iPad’s iOS… but then the first link should also not display if that were the case.

Merely cosmetic, in the end, but I AM curious as to what’s going on so I can avoid it in the future.

    Thoughts?

  • Basically, we pull the player directly from YouTube. The HTML5 player is loaded by YouTube whenever possible, but in this case, not all videos are available via their HTML5 player and still load with the Flash player.
