Someone creates an account with my email

    I received an email today from WordPress with the above URL telling me to create a password. I do not own the URL above. I believe someone is using my email to try to set up an account. I have reviewed a lot of emails over the past 24 hours saying I registered for various services or products. I believe my email may have been hacked. Is there someway to remove my email from the URL I provided as it is not mine.

    This account was created 3 years ago and verified by clicking a link in an activation email (we require this step for all account creations).

    If that wasn’t you, I recommend first changing your email’s passwords immediately.

    As far as we’re concerned, you are the owner of this account and any sites under it, so you’re welcome to do as you’d like with them, including deleting them https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/ or closing the account https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/
