Someone fraudulently using one of my email addresses for their account
-
I regularly keep getting login verification emails to one of my email addresses but I don’t have an account with WordPress. I’ve recently been a victim of identity theft and believe this is probably related to it. How can I have this account deleted since it’s not mine? I don’t want someone to use our email address.
Details: the emails are coming from (email visible only to moderators and staff). Login Verification emails are being sent to: (email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Ps. I had to just open an account with a different email address in order to post in this forum.

if someone is able to use your email address on the wordpress.com platform, it means they have full access to your computer and email address.

I don’t believe they have access to our devices nor believe they’re able to actually use it to sign in, but they keep attempting and triggering the verification code to be sent to it. Sometimes we get several of these emails in a row so I believe they’re unsuccessful. Maybe they have a phone number they can alternately use for verification? I don’t know how WordPress works. I will try changing my password on that email address just in case. But I don’t want an account out there using our email address that isn’t ours. Thanks
