Someone started my website and I need to transfer it to myself to finish it

  We had someone start our website and they didn’t finish so we need to do it. I’ve tried to change the username but it says usernames can’t be changed. How do I transfer the site to me?

  I do not see any sites connected to the account you are contacting us from. Is it a WordPress.com hosted site? In order to transfer the site from under the current WordPress.com account to your account, please follow the instructions on our support page:
