Someone trying to log into our WordPress accounts

    I have received the my messages in the last couple of days saying that people have been trying to get into both of our WordPress account.
    The email gives their IP address. We would like you to block that IP address.
    Kindly advise.

    Hi there,

    We don’t send email notifications if someone tries to log into a WordPress.com account, and we have not sent any emails to you in the past two weeks except for the one you received yesterday after posting this thread, and the one you’ll receive now once I submit this reply.

    You also don’t have any sites in your account. For which sites did you receive those emails, and what is the FROM address from which you received those emails?

    I’m guessing you have self-hosted WordPress sites, using the open source version of WordPress at another host, in which case these emails are either coming from your hosting provider, or from whichever security plugin/service you have enabled on your site to prevent unauthorised logins. In that case you’ll have to contact that service directly for help with this.
