  I would like to use ryanwelch.wordpress.com rather than ryanwelch94236722.wordpress.com, but it is reserved.

  Please let me know if there is anyway that I might be able to use it. It is my name and I would like to use it for blogging about books that I read. tyvm

  That address cannot be used as it’s already been reserved by another WordPress.com user.

  You can select a different one or even better register a custom domain like ryanwelch.blog. You can find more information on how to register a domain here:
