Sort Order
-
I’m trying to publish a set of historical letters, each in a blog post. However, I can’t get them to sort properly. All have the same ‘publish date’, as I published several yesterday, but I can’t figure out how they are being sorted. It doesn’t appear to be by the publishing time, as they are not in that order. I thought maybe it was the post URL, which includes the year, month, day, and the post title, but it isn’t sorting by that either. I’ve tried different themes to ensure that wasn’t the cause. Help! I need these to be in order.

and the blog I need help with is not the one that was listed above, but instead https://rossandelva.wordpress.com/

By default blogs always put the newest post at the top. Did you perhaps accidently mark the post “Wishing that you and I were together again” as a sticky post, which means it will always appear first on the blog. A sticky post is ideal to use as an introduction of what your site/blog is about. If that wasn’t the issue, you can always open the posts in the post editor and change dates/times to get things to display in the order you wish them to.

No, none are marked as sticky. I’ll try editing each of the post’s publishing dates to see if I can get them to sort properly.

Resetting all of the dates and republishing appears to have fixed the issues. Thank you.
