Sorting categories in foreign (non-English) language?

  Hi!

  I’m from Sweden and we’re using an extended version of the English alphabet – you’re usual 26 letters plus “ÅÄÖ”. So it’s “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZÅÄÖ”. The problem I’m having is that WordPress sorts these extra letters before the other 26 and that’s very weird to us Swedes.

  So when I want my categories in the menu as “Böcker, Filmer, Övrigt” (in English: “Books, Movies, Other”) I get “Övrigt, Böcker, Filmer”. Is there any way to change this? I’ve tried writing the HTML representation of the letters (Aring, Auml, Ouml), but no…

  You need to report this to staff so they improve their sorting functions, if possible:

  In the meantime, the only thing you can do is write numbers or the like before the actual names.
