Hi there,
I see that you’ve connected your domain artscapeimages.com to your WordPress.com site. However, to complete the process, there’s one more step you need to follow. You’ll need to update the domain’s name servers, which you can do through your GoDaddy control panel. Here’s how to do that: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/#step-2-change-your-domains-name-servers
I hope these instructions are clear and helpful. If you need further assistance or have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We’re here to help.

Thank you for your reply. I didn’t realize that GoDaddy had WordPress within its design functionality. Do I need to switch over to WordPress. I’m very confused now. My goal was to see if I can create a website in WordPress and then if I can, I will switch it over.
I tried to use WordPress last night and wonder if it is as easy at the video I watched made it out to be. Can you please let me know where I can find a step by step tutorial to use WordPress? And is it easy? I’ve used Squarespace and the GoDaddy website builder but they don’t have the functionality I’m looking for. Thanks again!

Also, when I go into WordPress, my site only looks like a blog. I can’t figure out how to make the format different so that it’s a website for photography.

Hi there,

Yes you can find our free course on starting your first website here: https://wordpress.com/learn/courses/create-your-site/
Also since you sound like you may prefer video instruction it will also help to sign up for one of our free webinars here: https://wordpress.com/learn/webinars/
Also, when I go into WordPress, my site only looks like a blog. I can’t figure out how to make the format different so that it’s a website for photography.
This can depend a lot on the theme you choose for your site; WordPress is able to be set up as either a blog or a traditional website (or combine aspects of both) so often the only thing you need to do is set a custom homepage to replace the default one that is showing posts.
We go into more detail on how to create a custom homepage in our webinar here. We don’t offer it live at this point but you can catch the replay:
Once you create a homepage for yourself, you can set it as the “homepage”front page” for your site in your WordPress settings. More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/
Do you happen to have any sites that you are drawing inspiration from or trying to emulate? It may be the case that one of our other themes is a better starting point for your site, so having that in mind will help us to make a suggestion. Thanks for the additional info!
