Hello!
The last couple of days I have been receiving 50-70 spam every day n my blog, Diana Funtana ESL Productions? This is ridiculous and extremely annoying. Please see that it stops.
Thanks.

Hi Diane,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with spam on your blog!
If a lot of the spam comments have a common string of text, I suggest adding that string to your blacklist:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
You can use the comment author’s name, IP address, web site, as well as the comment itself. Please make sure the word is not something contained in non-spam comments. For example, if you enter “press” as a blacklisted word, “WordPress” will match.
Also, please be sure mark those comments as spam (and don’t just delete them). Our Akismet anti-spam engine tries to learn from a pattern of the comments that are marked as spam, so they go straight to your blog’s Spam queue.

Hi Rachel,
I am continuing to be inundated with spam, specifically from sellers of down jackets and similar products, and it is really getting on my nerves!
Also how do I add the string to my blacklist?
Thanks.

Hi Diane,
You can edit your comment blacklist under Settings > Discussion in your dashboard. Look for the Comment Blacklist section — there is a screenshot to show what it looks like here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
You can add any common words or strings of text to that box, and comments with those words or strings will be immediately marked as spam.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about that!
