Spam ADS on my blog

    Hi, I have this problem, there’s a lot of ads in all my posts, not only on the top. I mean in the middle of the text. I started looking and I’m worry that this can be a virus. It only appears on the mobile version… I sent the link to a friend and it appears a message ‘Your iphone has been compromised, Inmediate action is required’ What should I do to fix this? I imagine it’s something wrong with the link. Help please!

    Hi there,

    We do sometimes show ads in the content of a post, between paragraphs. As no two people see exactly the same ads it’s impossible for us to check this, though, as I wouldn’t see the same ads as either you or your friend.

    If they saw a pop-up that their phone has been compromised, that’s not coming from your site, though, and your site is definitely not infected by a virus – we constantly scan every site on WordPress.com for malware, and the code that malware and viruses are written in cannot even be inserted into a WordPress.com site, as we completely block those types of code.

    Can you please take a screen shot of the ads and upload them to your site’s media library at My Site ->Site ->Media so we can see what you’re seeing?

    I already upload 2 print screens of the ads I’m seeing, there’s around 15 ads in one single post (too many)

    You can take a look at my site’s media library. This ads only appears on the mobile version (I use iphone).

    Thanks, we can see the screenhots of normal ads between paragraphs, as @kokkieh mentioned. Those ads help us cover our costs for hosting your free site. You can get rid of all of them by upgrading to one of our paid plans:

    Neither of the screenshots mentions the iPhone being compromised, though. If you’re seeing that, we do need a report as that is not a type of ad we allow here. Are you able to get a screenshot of that, or click “report this ad” when you see it?
