SPAM comments are getting too much!

Hi there,
Almost half of my emails are WordPress spam comments. I have Akismet and Jetpack and they are clearly not doing anything. Please can you help me understand how I can stop so many spam comments from arriving. There are 30-40 minimum daily.

There are many steps you can take other than Akismet. Here are some:Disable comments completely.
Disable anonymous comments.
Enable comment moderation.
Allow only comments from registered users.
Create a list of words on the blacklist.
Reduce or ban links in comments.
Disable comments for individual posts.But in addition, there are many related articles where you can see the step by step:

Thanks delfragni, I don’t want to disable completely as at times, we want folks to be able to weigh in. The first thing I did was ban links, because all of the millions of comments had dodgy links and usually our users would not need to include a URL
