Sparkling Theme Disappeared After Update

    I have been using the Sparkling child theme without any issues for over a year until now. I just updated the theme per WP’s suggestion on the Dashboard, and the site (along with my many customizations!) was gone. Just a bare-bones title and white screen and this message:

    Broken Themes
    The following themes are installed but incomplete.
    Name Description
    Sparkling Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.

    I checked and saw that Sparkling was no longer installed. So I went to “add theme” and both Sparkling and Colorlib showed no results from the search box! Now somehow my site is showing the “Twenty Seventeen” theme featuring a stock photo. Please help me get back my website!
