    Our client Battle Creek Church of Christ needs us to print something for them. The only copy of their logo is on their website. If they have lost the log-in and original artist information, how can we retrieve a font?

    Hi there,

    Do you mean the font of the text used in the logo? If the logo is an image, and the text forms part of that image, there’s no way to determine what font was used, as all you’ll see on the site is the final image, not the parts that make it up.

    That type of info you’ll only be able to get from the original project file in Adobe Illustrator, or whatever program was used to create the logo. Image files exported from such a program do not contain that information, only the finished product, and that finished product is all that gets uploaded to a website.
