spoon fed instructions needed

Got a domain sitting/parked with Godaddy.com. Ready (finally) to begin adding some content to it, blog on it, etc.. What do I need to do at WordPress and Godaddy to allow me to begin developing the site using WordPress? (I don’t have any email address associated w/ the site etc.. It’s just a domain registered to me at Godaddy.)

First you need to give us the URL of the blog you are asking about on WordPress.COM and the URL of the site you have started to add content to

I currently do not use WordPress. I have some content on Google+ that has generated enough positive feedback for me to consider investing more time and money into a full fledged enterprise. I looked over the WordPress intro stuff and just don’t get exactly what I need to do to turn my hibernating domain at Godaddy into an active WordPress site. (The impetus for this move was an article I read recently that endorsed WordPress as a favorable alternative to the FB/G+ route)

Then tell us what you want to do at your site. Then we can tell whether or not WP.com is right for you.

Basic photojournalistic stuff… easily done on any of the other “free” services but I lose control over “ownership” in a way on them, right? My rudimentary understanding of WordPress is that is that what I put up is more mine/private if that makes sense.

“If I want a personal webpage with all sorts of information about myself, I’ll go to WordPress.com and make one. By doing this, I don’t turn over any data, control, or information to an onerous third party to sell, use, or exploit. I can close down the site when I want. I can say what I want. I can pretty much do whatever. “) -
“basic photojournalistic stuff”
DEFINE.
Holy hell, there’s a ton of leeway there. Be specific.
