SQL and WP Content Folder needed for blog host transfer
-
How do I find the SQL and WP Content Folder files so that I can move my WordPress.com blog to a WordPress BlueHost blog platform? When I export the XML file from WordPress, BlueHost does not register all of the blog posts. BlueHost says it needs the SQL file and the WP Content Folder to complete the transfer of my blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, we aren’t able to provide the MySQL or wp-content folders, but the XML file should actually contain all your posts.
Could you please provide links to a couple of the posts on your WordPress.com site that are not getting imported into your self-hosted site so I can check the export file? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply! Only the media files are transferring. None of my actual posts transfer. This is an example of a post and media that is not coming through on the XML file: https://sunshineanddesign.wordpress.com/2013/03/01/outabout-hanging-out-in-the-ice-cold-sculture-garden/
I’m trying to get all of my sunshineanddesign.wordpress.com content migrated to a BlueHosted WordPress template under the URL sunshineanddesign.com

Hi there – thanks for the details! I checked your export file, which looked fine. I then exported your site and imported into a test site, and all 529 posts and 3 pages came over perfectly.
This means that unfortunately the trouble lies somewhere at the host’s end. There are some tips in the WordPress.org Codex on troubleshooting import problems:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Importing_Content
You may want to ask your host whether their PHP memory limit may be preventing your import from fully completing, for example.
Another avenue is to ask for assistance in the WordPress.org support forum: http://wordpress.org/support/
We do offer a paid Guided Transfer service to BlueHost, but between your host and the support forum, hopefully you’ll be able to sort it out. Best of luck!
