Squresapce XML file not importing

  Hello,
  

  I’m trying to import a Squarespace site to WordPress. I’ve selected the WordPress option during the export, and uploaded both using the Squarespace specific importer on WordPress and the general, and I keep getting this error message:

  

  However, it is a XML. I’ve tried downloading it again but it still has the same issue. Any ideas?

  Did you follow the instructions as given at https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-squarespace/

  Yes — followed instructions for both Squarespace and WordPress, and have retried the export / import several times.

  Are there any common troubleshoots/ errors to look into?
