SSL Error

In Chrome I get an SSL error when I try to go to the site using the purchased domain.
“This is probably not the site that you are looking for!
You attempted to reach moldnovemberfest.org, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.wordpress.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of moldnovemberfest.org.”How can I stop this happening?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, are you trying to visit your site with https (rather than http) at the beginning of the URL?
Your domain is not configured to have an SSL on the front end of the site, so should only be visited at http, rather than https. Most sites online are not (and do not need to be) set up with an SSL on their front of site unless they are going to be accepting personal information.
You can view your site here: http://moldnovemberfest.org/
Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Sorry for the delay, thanks for your reply.
The problem is if I don’t specify and just type “moldnovemberfest.org” into the address bar – it looks like Chrome automatically tries https first and so I get the error.
My concern is that most people will be doing this and could be put off by the security error. Is there no way around it?
Thanks again.

By default, Chrome should not automatically try https first. (I checked in Chrome on my end, and when I typed “moldnovemberfest.org” into the address bar it went directly to http.) Can you check to make sure you haven’t bookmarked your site using https in the address?
There are also some Chrome extensions that force the browser to open websites with https, so you may want to check your Chrome extensions to make sure that isn’t happening.
If that still doesn’t resolve it, you may need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
Please let me know how that works for you!
