SSL Errors and Insercure Connections

    I made a site the other week. I was experiencing some SSL errors the other week, but they have fixed now. For most people, it is fine to connect to the website and look around. When I link the site to Reddit, however, it the site comes up as insecure due to having a non-private connection. Can someone please explain this to me? Do I have to upgrade my account to stop this issue?

    Are you speaking of https://newrolesrpg.wordpress.com/? I don’t see any security warnings for that site. What is the specific URL that you’re sharing on Reddit?

    What you’re seeing is most likely a mixed content warning. Those happen when you have some content embedded on the page using http links, for example, if you’re hotlinking images from other websites not using HTTPS.

    The only way to prevent this is to not link to non-secure resources on your site. Upgrading your site will not prevent this, as it’s caused by content you add to your site.
