Starting account

Out of frustration, I cancelled my new account 4 days ago. Now I have help and would like to reinstate. The URL says ‘parked’, so do I still have an account? Is it locustpointcommunityucc.org? May I continue to build the site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Your site is actually still at the free WordPress.com URL, locustpointcommunityucc.wordpress.com, and we can still restore your custom domain, locustpointcommunityucc.org. Can you please go to My Site ->Plans and buy the Personal Plan again? Then I can reconnect the domain to your account once you’ve done that.
I’d also be interested to know what caused your frustration. Was it something with the setup? Something that didn’t work the way you wanted it to? I’d be happy to help you get the site the way you want it.

Thank you! I will follow your directions. I am totally green and could not navigate well to create menus & pages. I found WIX to be more intuitive for beginners, but wanted to use WordPress.

Done… recreated my personal account. Will that restore the locustpointcommunityucc.org address and leave off” wordpress” in the URL address

Can you please give some guidance on the following…
1. How do I change our URL address so that “wordpress” is not part of it?
2. Under menus, I have created pages. How do I put a different photo on each page?
Thank you -
Your domain is already back on your account. To control which domain is visible when people view your site, you need to change the primary domain. You will see a button that lets you do that if you go to My Site ->Domains.
Pages are created at My Site ->Pages, not via the menu. When you have a page open in the editor, click the + button in the toolbar to add an image, or you can just drag-and-drop the image directly into the page content area. You can find more info on how to add images to posts and pages here:
Adding Images to Posts or Pages
If you haven’t yet, I also suggest you take a look at our detailed tutorial page. You’ll understand much better how WordPress.com works once you’ve done that.
